Olbrich's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

20-year old Australian power forward Lachlan Olbrich (208-PF-2003) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Canterbury Rams and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Saints (#4, 11-6) with 25-point margin 110-85. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Rams to take over top position in the New Zealand league. Rams have a solid 14-2 record. In the team's last game Olbrich had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Rams, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of California Riverside graduate has very impressive stats this year. Olbrich is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.5rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 59.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Isaiah Moore (185-G-2000) of Hawkes Bay Hawks. He is American guard in his first season at Hawks. In the last game Moore recorded an impressive 28 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Hawks lost that game 91-117 to the higher-ranked Saints (#4, 11-6). Hawks is still in a red zone at 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-10 record. Moore is one of the most experienced players at Hawks and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.3ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 4.2rpg and 6.8apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Samuel Timmins (211-F/C-1997) of Franklin Bulls (#5). Timmins showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Timmins' great performance the Bulls lost 96-100 to slightly higher-ranked Airs (#3, 12-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Bulls needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 5 lost games. Timmins has a great season in New Zealand. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (6th best). He also has 2.0bpg and a FGP of 61.2%.
